Grits Casserole

These grits were very easy to make and perfect for brunch or breakfast.

 

Grits Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 large box quick 5-minute Grits
  • 8-10 slices bacon, cooked, and crumbled.
  • 1/2 cup sharp shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 eggs, beaten.
  • 1/2 stick melted butter.
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix grits according to package (about 10 servings) and make a little soupy.
  2. Add salt and pepper.
  3. Mix in the crumbled bacon, beaten eggs, cheese, (save 1/3 cup for the top) and butter.
  4. Add grits mixture to 9x13.
  5. sprinkle the rest of cheese on top.
  6. bake 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
  7. for a change, you can substitute sausage instead of bacon.
