Grits Casserole
These grits were very easy to make and perfect for brunch or breakfast.
Grits Casserole
Yield: 10
Ingredients
- 1 large box quick 5-minute Grits
- 8-10 slices bacon, cooked, and crumbled.
- 1/2 cup sharp shredded cheddar cheese
- 3 eggs, beaten.
- 1/2 stick melted butter.
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Mix grits according to package (about 10 servings) and make a little soupy.
- Add salt and pepper.
- Mix in the crumbled bacon, beaten eggs, cheese, (save 1/3 cup for the top) and butter.
- Add grits mixture to 9x13.
- sprinkle the rest of cheese on top.
- bake 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
- for a change, you can substitute sausage instead of bacon.
