Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1/2 cup blueberry pie filling
  • 4 oz. softened cream cheese
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp lemon extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 cup sliced toasted almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Cut thawed puff pastry into 6 rectangles.
  3. In medium bowl, mix together cream cheese, granulated sugar, 1/4 tsp vanilla, and 1/4 tsp lemon extract.
  4. Spoon 1 tbsp of mixture onto each rectangle.
  5. Top rectangles with 1 tbsp pie filling.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Meanwhile for the icing, mix together powdered sugar, milk, and additional extracts.
  8. Let Danishes cool completely.
  9. Drizzle with icing and top with almonds.
