Poppy Seed Chicken Casserole
This is a tried and true classic dish that has been around for many years!
Poppy Seed Chicken
Yield: 8
Ingredients
- 3 Cups Chopped Chicken
- 1 10.5 oz can cream of chicken soup.
- 16 oz sour cream
- 1/2 TBSP poppy seeds
- 2-3 sleeves of Ritz Crackers, Crushed
- 3/4 cup butter, melted.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large bowl, combine chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream and poppy seeds.
- Spray 9x13 casserole dish with olive oil or cooking spray.
- add chicken mixture to dish and spread evenly.
- In separate bowl add 2 or 3 sleeves of crushed Ritz Crackers, add butter while stirring to moisten crackers. You can add more or less Ritz based on your preference. I used 3 sleeves in mine.
- Sprinkle Ritz mixture over top of chicken evenly.
- Bake for 15 minutes covered, then another 15 minutes uncovered or until cracker topping is lightly browned.
- Let cool for 3-5 minutes and serve.
