We love these fall-inspired Pumpkin Cream Cheese Danishes! They look oh-so-fancy and taste like they came straight from the bakery.
Ingredients
Pastry and Filling
- 1 Box Puff Pastry (2 sheets)
- FILLING
- 1/2 cup Pumpkin Puree
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 egg
Cream Cheese Mixture
- 8 oz. softened cream cheese
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
Glaze
- 2/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2-3 tbsp heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Let the puff pastry thaw at room temp for at least 30 minutes to avoid cracking. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper. Lay puff pastry on a sheet and cut into 6 equal rectangles.
- Prepare fillings in 2 separate bowls. Add 2-3 tbsp of each filling, starting with pumpkin, then adding cream cheese on top...to each rectangle. Brush edges with egg wash.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. While the pastries are baking, prepare the glaze. Let cool slightly before adding glaze drizzle.
